FUFA Womens Cup Final: Gafford Ladies v Olila

Olila has been one of the top sides in women's football that impressed in the just concluded FUFA Women Elite League.

The Soroti side that finished fourth in the feels they can cap off the season in fine fashion when they face Gafford Ladies in the FUFA Women Cup final on Sunday at Madibira play ground in Busia Municipality.

"We are going to try our best. We want to improve on the performance we displayed in the league," stated Olila manager Sam Abonged.

Despite having an underwhelming season in the league after finishing bottom in the Victoria Group, Gafford could also walk away with silverware.

They beat Muteesa 2-1 in the semi-final to reach the final while Olila eliminated UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1 on penalties after 2-2 draw in Mukono in the other semi-final.

The knock out competition for women's football was introduced this year to give a chance to teams that do not take part in the league to also be competitive.
