How can I talk to my teenage daughter?

Jun 13, 2017

I have all along been their father and mother, however, time has come for the mother in me to come out but I am scared to fit in those shoes.

After my wife and I separated, I vowed never to remarry but to look after my children.

I have four children, two girls and two boys. My first born, who is a girl, is celebrating 14 years soon. But I am afraid she's turning into a young lady and I am scared to engage her in a woman talk.

I have all along been their father and mother, however, time has come for the mother in me to come out but I am scared to fit in those shoes.

When I go out with my daughter for shopping, men stare at her. This makes me feel uncomfortable, scared and insecure that men will soon start hitting on her

I have tried several times to talk to her but I do not have the guts.

What should I do, I do not want my daughter to get such information from someone who is not me?
