The soursop fruit, locally known as ‘kitafeli', is making a gradual comeback in markets after being scarce for about three months.

Traders say from March all the way to June, the fruit, also called custard apple, is offseason.

Its price depends on the size as well as the season, according to Harriet Mubiru, a fruit vendor at Owino Market.

Now that it is offseason, a small-sized soursop costs on average sh2,000, medium-sized one at sh3,000 and a big one at sh4,000 at Nakasero Market.

At Kibuye market, not far off, the fruit is ranging between sh2,000 and shs5, 000.

Nakasero Fruit seller Isaac Isabirye says the fruit ranges between sh1, 000 and sh3, 000 when its season is on.
