FDC split over Kyadondo East by-election

Sitenda Sebalu, the NRM candidate in Kyadondo East by-election is on door to door campaigns as he canvases for votes. He was in Wattuba Parish, some parts of Manywangwa and Gayaza town.

His message to the voters was to vote for NRM for prosperity.

"NRM is the party in power; this means that soliciting of services from government will be easier for an NRM MP than someone who is opposing the leadership," argued Sebalu.

 
He promised to introduce better vocational education.

Meanwhile, FDC leaders have split into two factions, one supporting the flag bearer Apollo Kanntinti and another which has branded itself FDC Buganda supporting Nkuyinyingi Muwada, an independent candidate.

The Buganda faction led by FDC vice president Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, alongside Sewava Serubiri special envoy Caleb Muhanguzi  the FDC chairperson Wakiso district, the FDC chairperson Nangabo sub county Pastor James Kakande and other councilors from different areas.

Ssebuggwawo said that they believe in Muwada's competence to bring victory for the party though other leaders of the party insisted on retaining the flag on Kantinti.

 
FDC' official flag bearer Apollo Kantinti held rallies in Wattuba, Dr. Sowedi Kayongo and DP's Babirye Lilliane Kamome also hunted for votes in other constituencies.

The campaigns continue until 27 of this month and voting will take place on 29.
