Organisation Background:

Caritas Switzerland has been engaged in Uganda since 1994. Its program targets vulnerable groups, namely youth (adolescent mothers, vulnerable girls, and young prisoners), women and extremely poor community members, with a regional focus parti cularly but not exclusively on the greater north of Uganda.

Caritas Switzerland plans and implements its interventi ons together with local partner organizations, and promotes the use of holisti c approaches to find sustainable soluti ons to today's multi faceted challenges of the Ugandan society.

In its 2017-2020 strategy, Caritas Switzerland will concentrate its eff orts on the themati c fi elds of Educati on and Income, and Food Security and Markets. In this regard Caritas Switzerland is looking to identi fy suitable applicants for the following roles:

Program Coordinator (1 position)

The Program Coordinator is the most senior in-country role, responsible for deputi sing for the Country Director in implementi ng Caritas Switzerland's mission and vision in Uganda. This includes developing a portf olio of impactful interventi ons, building the capacity of implementing partners so that their impact is maximized, and ensuring eff ectiveness & efficiency of interventions.

Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor (1 position)

The Monitoring and Evaluati on Advisor is the resident expertin Monitoring, Evaluati on and Learning for Caritas Switzerland's Uganda Program. The role is responsible for the design, development and implementati on of eff ecti ve Monitoring and Evaluati on; and the capacity building of partners, in order to meet the accountability requirements of Donors and ensure the quality, continuous improvement and impact of our programs.
