National football teams coach Milutin Sredejovic has said that he will treat Uganda Cranes CHAN qualifier against South Sudan like any other international encounter.

Uganda is ranked 15th in African football while South Sudan is 44th but Sredejovic insists he cannot take the opponents for granted and risk the Cranes missing the CHAN finals in neighbouring Kenya next year.

Sredojevic on Tuesday unveiled a 40-man team of home based players that will start training the qualifier on July 15.

South Sudan secured the fixture with Uganda Cranes after they ejected Somalia 4-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round qualifiers following the return leg match at the Juba stadium.

"We cannot undermine South Sudan. They are improving very fast. Many of their players have been here(Uganda). So we are doing our best," Micho said.

The team training starts on Wednesday without KCCA FC players, who are engaged in CAF
