Collins Nuwagira and Dan Kajungu will take on John Muchiri and Isaac Mariera in the finals of the Singleton Golf Challenge after eliminating the most fancied pair of Elly Mukasa and Kiryowa Kiwanuka in the semi finals played at Entebbe Club on Saturday.
Nuwagira and Kajungu won with three holes with two holes to play with John Muchiri/Isaac Mariera eliminating Jadu Patel and Anthony Agaba in the second semi-final of the four-ball-better-ball match play championship that has been running since January.
The winning semi finalists will now fancy their chances of winning the ultimate prize which is a fully paid trip to the 146th British Open in Scotland in July.
The first of its kind, the Singleton challenge has been held in a series of tournaments with 124 players playing on a knock-out basis since January and advancing in every round.
In the sh12m professional's category, it will be Kampala's Denis Anguyo and Palm Valley's Fred Wanzala in the final after they beat Vincent Byamukama and Phillip Kasozi, 2UP and 1up respectively.
