Tororo policeman in trouble for 'luring student into sex'

Wuubo’s arrest comes barely a week after another police officer was suspended over misconduct.

TORORO - Police in Tororo have charged one of their own for allegedly luring a Senior Six student into sexual intercourse.

AIP Micheal Wuubo, the officer incharge of Bison Police post in Tororo municipality, was arrested after the victim reported the matter to Western Division acting town clerk Paul Obella.

The town clerk in turn alerted the Bukedi regional police commander Alfred Bangambaki.

The punishment for scandalous behavior is reduction in rank or dismissal after the suspect has been proven guilty.

Wuubo's arrest comes barely a week after another police officer was suspended over misconduct.

Gerald Kasede, the community liaison officer in charge of Tororo, was arrested after he was reportedly found having carnal knowledge with a complainant inside the police barracks.

Bukedi regional police spokesperson Sowali Kamulya said Wuudo is being detained at the Tororo Central Police Station as investigations into his alleged act continue.
