Cranes squad for first domestic tour of 2017

The squad was unveiled by national team assistant Uganda Cranes coach Moses Basena.

KAMPALA - Uganda Cranes technical team has lined up a squad of 23 mainly fresh faces to prepare for their first tour of the country this year.

The squad was unveiled by national team assistant Uganda Cranes coach Moses Basena at the weekly FUFA press conference Wednesday morning.

Other than experienced Emmanuel Okwi, Saddam Juma and Savio Kabugo who have been on the tours several times before, majority of the players have been called for their debuts.

Uganda Cranes will this weekend travel to Kamuli district where they will play a select side to help enhance their talent and for acquaintances with its upcountry fans.

The team will train on Friday, travel on Saturday and play on Sunday.

THE SQUAD

Goalkeepers: Nicholas Sebwato (Bright Stars), Keni Saidi (Proline), Muhammed Ssekebba (Mbarara City)

Full backs: Joseph Nsubuga (SC Villa Jogoo), Allan Drajua (Kirinya-Jinja S.S), Hassan Musana (JMC Hippos), Arafat Ggaliwango(Police)

Central defenders: Brian Nsubuga (Masavu), Savio Kabugo (Proline), Allan Anguyo (Maroons), Rashid Toha (Onduparaka)

Holding midfielders: Hudu Mulyki (URA), Abel Eturude (SC Villa Jogoo), Saddam Juma (Express), Ambrose Kirya (SC Villa)

Attacking midfielders: Shafiq Kagimu (URA), Kizza Martin (SC Villa Jogoo), Living Kabong (Onduparaka), Vitalis Tabu (SC Villa Jogoo)

Attackers: Emmanuel Okwi (SC Villa), Nelson Senkatuka (Proline), Villa Oromochan (BUL), Hood Kaweesa (Police)
