Former Soroti Municipality MP Charles Willy Ekemu has died.
Ekemu succumbed to cancer of the liver at Nsambya Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
According to FDC's Sarah Eperu, Ekemu died on Friday at around 10am.
Ekemu who trounced former minister Mike Mukula in 2006, served for one term and lost it again to Mukula in 2011.
He tried to contest for Ngora County in the last year's elections but lost in the FDC primaries.
