Former Anglican Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Peter Jensen, has challenged theological teachers to make sure that what they teach impacts on the morals of the community in order to have a loving world.

Jensen is in the country with a number of Anglican bishops and professors to review how the teaching of theology in the different institutions can be improved to ensure that there is an impact to lives of people.

The review meeting being attended by Bishops and professors from across the globe is taking place at Uganda Christian University Mukono (UCU) and is set to end on Sunday.

"We are discussing the real factors in theological education including what we have to improve and what we have to eliminate so that we have a better impact on the communities we are working in," said Jensen, who is also the secretary of The Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON)

"We know that the Anglican Church has so many education institution but we want what is taught to be realized. We want to live as a community full of love, sharing and caring for each other."

Jensen said that the teaching that is carried out should impact on the morals of society so that people live as one.

"Christianity is not criminal. It yields the power to produce citizens who will care for each other and at the end transform individuals and societies. This is what the Christian community should be," said Jensen.
