Vipers will need to improve their performance to stand a chance of progress to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Entebbe Road based side settled for goalless draw with Volcan Club de Moroni from Comoros in the first leg at Namboole stadium on Saturday. Vipers will now travel to Moroni for the return leg on February 18.

"The boys tried although they didn't get the result we wanted but we need to work more harder in the return leg," stated Vipers coach Richard Wasswa.

The winner between Vipers and Volcan Club de Moroni will either play South Africa side Platinum Stars or União Desportiva do Songo of Mozambique in the first round in March.

This was the  second consecutive year Vipers is taking part in the CAF engagements. Last  year they took part in the CAF Champions League but were eliminated in the preliminary by Nigeria side Enyimba.
