In a bid to fight the drop, Azam premier league bottom side JMC Hippos FC have hired former Cranes striker Fred Makhoha as assistant
coach.

The 43-year retired  from active football three years ago. He will be an assistant to head coach Vincent Lukyamuzi.

"When I read that my former team was struggling, I came to try all possible ways of motivating this group of players so that they can
somehow rediscover their confidence," said Makoha.

Because of lack of enough passports , the Kakindu based side managed to play with ten men on pitch in their 2-2 away result against URA FC
in Lugazi.

Makhoha played for SC Villa, Express FC, Kinyara FC, Mbale Heroes, CRO FC and JMC Hippos FC.
