Ten players have been signed ahead of the second round

Police Football Club chairman Asan Kasingye is confident that his side will enjoy better fortunes in the second round of the league.

Kasingye made the remarks after the squad was beefed with a new technical team and players.

"We are not a small club. We need to go back to our past glory since we have resources to achieve it. We had a poor run in the first round of the league but that has been sorted" he stated.

He unveiled ten players that were signed ahead of the second round. These are; Martin Mpuuga, Hakim Senkumba, Brian Ochwo, Paul Willa, Yasin Mugume, Yasin Mugabi, William Wadri, Michael Birungi, Ssaka Mpiima, and  Afarat  Galiwango .

These have joined Abdullah Mubiru, John Luyinda and James Magala who had earlier joined the club as coaches.

Police who finished the first round fourth from bottom only managed three wins, five draws and lost seven out the 15 games played.

One of the challenges the team faced in the first round was match fixing allegations and the club was quick to act; terminating the contracts of their captain and assistant Godfrey Kateregga and Sadat Kyambadde respectively.
