Minister Kabafunzaki donates shs100m ambulance to Kabale locals

The beneficiaries led by the Kamwezi sub county NRM chairperson and the Kashambya sub county NRM chairperson Jackson Rwamwehare commended Kabafunzaki for supporting the health sector in the constituency.

The State Minister for Labor, employment and Gender and industrial relations, Herbert Kabafunzaki has  donated an ambulance worth  sh103m  to the Rukiga constituency locals in Kabale district to help to help in transporting the sick and pregnant women to the hospitals and other residents in Rukiga constituency to vote wisely after they receive independent district to help to maintain the vehicle in good condition so that it lasts for a long time.

The beneficiaries led by the Kamwezi sub county NRM chairperson and the Kashambya sub county NRM chairperson Jackson Rwamwehare commended Kabafunzaki for supporting the health sector in the constituency.

They added that the ambulance will help to stop the patient's especially pregnant woman from travelling long distances to seek medical services at health facilities.

Kabafunzaki who is also the Rukiga County area Member of Parliament handed over the ambulance to the locals of Rukiga County in a colorful function that took place at Kamwezi sub county in Kabale district.


At the same ceremony, Kabafunzaki also donated 15 beds and 15 mattresses to support pregnant women who visit the health facilities in Rukiga County.


He was moved to donate the ambulance after receiving several communications from patients especially pregnant women in Rukiga County about the long distances and the challenges they face while accessing health facilities.

"I felt concerned with the difficulties the pregnant women go through while traveling long distances to the health facilities and thought of a short term solution to it, "he stated.
