NRM vets candidates for EALA

The candidates were also given the rules to follw as they solicit for votes in the forthcoming elections.

As the race for East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) heats up, the NRM party is holding a  vetting meeting this Saturday. The meeting takes place at State House Entebbe.

The 43 candidates who had a meeting on Friday, were informed of the vetting exercised Saturday.

 

The candidates were also given the rules to follwo as they solicit for votes in the forthcoming elections.

The NRM Electoral Commission chairman Tanga Odoi says the candidates must avoid bribing voters .

He further stated that all candidates are the same and no candidate will be favoured by the party because they are all NRM candidates.

"I have been ready from the start and I am looking forward to the vetting exercise. I stand for gender equality," says Stella Kiryowa, one of the aspirants.
