He made a lot of sacrifices to get there but it was hard decision for Mike Mutyaba to retire from active football.
The Express player told New Vision Sport that he couldn't deliver his best anymore after sustaining a knee ligament injury in December last year.
"I sustained an injury on December 3rd when Express was playing Sadolin Paints. I got some treatment here and in China and doctors advised me to rest for six months. I felt I couldn't deliver to my best after the treatment and that's why I've decided to retire" Mutyaba stated.
The 29 year old came into the limelight in 2008 when he featured for Vipers (then Bunamwaya SC).
He then moved to Sudan giants El-Merreikh were CAF Confederation Cup holders TP Mazembe got interested in the player and signed him.
At Mazembe, things didn't work out the way he expected so he decided to return to Vipers who loaned him to Express were he ended his career.
