Uganda Cranes managed a draw and two losses to and get eliminated at the first hurdle at the ongoing tournament

FUFA president Moses Magogo has announced that they are contemplating a bid to host the 2025 AFCON finals in Uganda.

Flanked by members of the marketing committee, Rogers Byamukama, and international competitions, Bernard Ogwel, Magogo revealed the federation's interest to host the 2025 Africa Nations Cup finals on grounds that Uganda can offer better facilities than where the competition has been before.

"We have taken a decision as FUFA to bid to host the 2025 AFCON. This is because we have been to different countries including where we have just been (Gabon), we realized that we have the infrastructure and facilities required. The only things we don't have for now are the stadia but we are going to discuss with government over that" Magogo announced.

"We want to bid to host the AFCON 2025. We have seen Uganda is a football mad country and a huge tourism destination" he added.

Magogo was reviewing Uganda's experience at AFCON 2017 where the Uganda Cranes managed a draw and two losses to and get eliminated at the first hurdle.
