The new UVF president has taken her time to name a full executive board

Newly elected Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) president Hadija Namanda is determined in her ambition to appoint an all acceptable board of directors at the troubled federation.

She has taken her time to name a full executive board and she insists it is because she is looking at an all-inclusive executive committee at her UVF.

Namanda knows she was voted into office to reconcile the divided volleyball fraternity and the first female president of UVF accepts that it has not been easy to come up with a board she hopes to unveil at the end of the week.

"I'm now done with consultations, recommendations are made and I'm now looking at what is at stake, what the game plan is. I will announce most likely on Friday," Namanda said.

Apart from the elected officials, Namanda said that her team of UVF officials will comprise of both old and new faces in the federation.

Namanda was ushered into the UVF office in the recent elections together general secretary Cornelius Engwenyu, first vice president Isima Bagaga and second vice president Patricia Ahumuza, who was unopposed.

The treasurer is Adam Mugisha.
