LIBERATION CUP

Monday result: Lweza 2  SC Villa 2

Today: Express v Lweza (at 4:30pm - Nakivubo)

Thursday: SC Villa v Express

In a bid to strengthen their sides ahead of the second round of the league, three top flight sides are taking part in the Liberation Cup Tournament.

The four-day tournament that started Monday will be climaxed on the Liberation Day on Thursday.

In the opening game on Monday, SC Villa settled for a two-all draw with Lweza at Nakivubo stadium.

This was SC Villa's second match in three days without a win. Earlier on, the Jogoos were eliminated in the round of 64 of the Uganda Cup by Kiboga Young 5-4 on penalties.

Action in the Liberation Cup will resume today when Express face Lweza.

This will be a  local derby - in fact, both sides use Wankulukuku  Stadium as their home venue in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
