Get a jersey that fits you

There is nothing annoying like seeing a person in an oversized jersey. If you are medium, get your size, don't go for example extra-large. "I got a jersey but it was too big for me, so I had to take it to the tailor to adjust it. Even when I have a marathon, I always take my kits for amending," said Ruth Kamya, a sports fan.

Don't wear a jersey of a team that isn't playing in the game you are attending

Seriously, what are you doing in an Arsenal jersey when Uganda Cranes is playing? If you love your jersey, go to your sitting room and wear it from there.

"Attending a game in another club's jersey means that you are not interested in that club playing. To show support, wear the club's jersey," says David Nyango, a fashionista with Ssema designs.

 
Wear the team's colour

Ours is black, red, white or yellow. Why do you go for a weird colour that no one wears on the pitch? This is common with the youth who want to show their swag and their tastes. If you love your team, you should be proud of its colours. Just get sh20,000 and buy yourself a real jersey.

 
Personalize the jersey with nice words

If you want your jersey to be personalised, opt for decent wordings. You do not have to mess up the jersey with so many funny wordings.

"I always see people personalizing the jerseys with their names or husbands' names, that is fine but the problem is with people who use vulgar languages on those jerseys," says Brian Busulwa, a graphic designer at Adiis Media.
