Pastor Francis Daniel Mutibwa, who organized the event, explained: “As a Church, we are mindful of the many children in poverty-stricken homes and slums, who don’t get a chance to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus in a joyful and decent manner.  We have decided to give these children a decent meal, to enable them to share the joy and hope that Christmas brings. We have made this an annual event.”

Further to the food and drinks, Pastors Winnie and Francis Daniel Mutibwa also gave the children Christmas gifts in form of scholastic materials. The children were also entertained by Neema Children’s Choir and the Brigade Brass Band from Namirembe Cathedral.
