The 2016 FIM Central Africa motocross champion in the veterans category Barak Orland has ruled out retiring from the sport before he defends his title.

This ends speculation that the 43 year old rider could retire from the sport after winning his first regional title.

"I'm not going anywhere. I have to defend this title next year and those who want to challenge me should be ready for a fight," Orland stated.

"I had just taken a break because of a shoulder dislocation but am now back and will be working on my fitness the entire season to be ready for my title defence."

Orland beat Kenya's Moses Mugo and Uganda's Ashi Mbabazi to win the regional trophy during the final leg held at Jamhuri race track in Nairobi.
