"I want to condemn the strikes in the strongest terms possible. The incidents are unfortunate and need to be probed thoroughly. The top management should listen to students concerns before they strike,"

The Principal Judge, Yorokamu Bamwine has termed the Makerere University strike by teachers and students 'unfortunate' and challenged the education ministry to investigate the matter and table its findings.

The principal Judge made the remarks on Saturday during a meeting held by old boys of Mutuyera High School Kitunga at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

He urged the university management to be on the alert to curb such incidents which he said could escalate and lead to loss of lives and businesses in the surrounding suburbs.

"I want to condemn the strikes in the strongest terms possible. The incidents are unfortunate and need to be probed thoroughly. The top management should listen to students concerns before they strike," He said.
