Arua to host Uganda Cup final

Registration for all interested teams or clubs started this week
The 2016-2017 FUFA Uganda Cup final will be hosted in the West Nile region. The Uganda Cup is a knock out competition in Uganda and starts at round of 64 at national level.
The second biggest football event in the country will have the final in Arua town. The 11th FUFA Executive Committee held on July 28, 2016 approved Arua as the hosts of the final which is slated for the weekend of June 2-4 2017.
All Azam-Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League sides according to the FUFA Competitions rules are required to participate.
Registration for all interested teams or clubs started this week and will end on December 2. Preliminary rounds of the event will commence on December 3.
Vipers are defending champions after defeating Onduparaka 3-1 in the final in June at Nakivubo stadium. It was also the first Uganda Cup title won by Vipers.
Uganda Cup winner represents the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
