Schools gear up for Toto Christmas festival

This year's Toto Christmas festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday December 11, 2016 starting 9:00AM to 6:00PM at Kyadondo Rubgy Grounds in Kampala.

The Vision Group Toto magazine Team has embarked on visiting different schools across the county with an aim of promoting the upcoming event dubbed 'Toto Christmas festival' and giving out flyers.

This year's Toto Christmas festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday December 11, 2016 starting 9:00AM  to 6:00PM at Kyadondo Rubgy Grounds in Kampala.

The theme of the festival is making another child smile. Children will pay sh10,000 each for entry and adults or parents will enter for free.

While visiting Nakasero Primary School and Kingways Primary and Nursery School, the Toto editor, Jovita Ajuna said the festival is not only meant to educate and entertain children, but to also bring a smile to the vulnerable children admitted in hospitals.

"I would like to encourage all the pupils to come for the festival since part of the money will be used to support the vulnerable children who have spent all this year in the hospitals wards admitted," Ajuna said.

She advised the pupils to avoid using dirty languages and loitering around the villages during the holidays but rather help out in doing house work at home.

"This is an opportunity for you to give back to your parents and guardians. Please help them in doing house work; greet and respect people," she advised.

The head master Nakasero Primary School, Brother Charles Lwanga Ssengendo thanked Auntie Jovita for the support she always accords the school and children and encouraged the pupils to support Toto Christmas festival.

The headmistress, Kingsway Nursery and Primary School along Entebbe Road, Annah Evas Tumuhimbise, asked pupils to continue reading and writing for Toto Magazine adding that it is one of the success entry points in life.
