Magogo mourns Ligyalingi, Azuba

The sports fraternity is in mourning

FUFA president Moses Magogo has joined members of the sports fraternity in mourning former cricket officials Chris Azuba, Justine Ligyalingi Snr.

Ligyalingi Snr and his wife Florence both parents of Uganda Cricket Association CEO Justine Ligyalingi passed away in an accident on Monday evening. Azuba collapsed and died on Tuesday morning.

"It is very sad for the entire sports fraternity in Uganda and especially those in the cricket circles to lose such important people who have groomed very many talents" Magogo stated.

Ligyalingi's contribution in sports disciplines like netball, football, athletics and cricket left an indelible mark on many young talents.

Magogo also went ahead to send to condolence message to the family of Azuba.

"His services as the former general secretary of Uganda Cricket Association and umpire of the gentleman's game shows the class he brought in administration and on the crease" he added.
