Two highly revered instructors from WBSC are set to arrive in the country for a training course covering 30 local coaches from across the country due 10-14 October at Gayaza.
With Uganda investing in the "long game" of having its name inked among the Softball and Baseball elite countries, despite being a mountain to climb, it's initial efforts have attracted the attention of the sports' governing body-World Baseball and Softball Confederation(WBSC).
Two highly revered instructors from WBSC are set to arrive in the country for a training course covering 30 local coaches from across the country due 10-14 October at Gayaza.
Fabio Betto and Andrea D'auria will avail the coaches with up to date knowledge and skills regarding the two disciplines and still it will not stop there; they (trainees) will at the end of the course get certified by the world's sports' governing body!
"This is a great development opportunity for the country as the trainees shall be able to pass on different skills to our players. We are truly heading in the right direction" said Dennis Kasozi, President Uganda Baseball and Softball Association (UBASA)
It should be underscored that this is the first time Uganda is hosting instructors from world body.
