Katakwi calls for dialogue to solve land disputes

90% of the civil and criminal cases in Teso are land relate

The Katakwi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Filbert Ocailap has directed councillors and LC3 chairpersons in the district to use dialogue to solve land conflicts.

Ocailap noted with concern that 90% of the civil and criminal cases in Teso are land related.

According to Ocailap, the only way to solve such matters is through developing policies that encourage dialogue so that the two parties can remain united.
