Kangave said that they could not find more information about the robbery and the death of the guard since the incident happened at night
Hamida Siyasa a security guard at an IT firm, Services and Computer industry limited was killed by robbers last night as she attempted to stop them from breaking into the firm.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police security spokesperson, Paul Kangave, when they were called to the scene of the robbery, in downtown along William Street, in the wee hours of the morning, they found the lifeless body of Siyasa tied up with ropes.
"It seems when she tried to stop them, they tied her up, strangled and suffocated her to death. We have taken the body to city mortuary for a post mortem," he said. She was a security guard with Dillard security agency.
He said that they found when the firm, located opposite Equatorial mall, was in a total mess with several computers scattered all over the place while some were in the parking lot.
Kangave said that they could not find more information about the robbery and the death of the guard since the incident happened at night but have summoned the owners of the firm to ascertain the number of computers and other equipments stolen
