Prince Nakibinge says he has no personal conflicts

Nakibinge also called upon cultural leaders to join the religious leaders and the government in the fight against the vice of sports betting in country among the youth.

Prince Kassim Nakibinge has appealed to the various security organs in the country to tackle the increasing cases of murder and terrorism.
 
"I appeal to the security agencies in the country to ensure that all Ugandans and their properties are safe. Last evening I felt touched by the murder of people in Kasangati including police officers," the Prince said during Idd celebrations on Monday.
 
Speaking about reports that there was a group that wanted to kill him, Prince Nakibinge said that he also learnt about it from the security organs but did not take it serious until the Director of Public Prosecution informed him that he has evidence that he was among the Muslim leaders targeted by by a group that killed Muslim clerics last year.
 
"I have no personal conflicts and I don't see any reason why anyone would target me," he observed.
 
Nakibinge also called upon cultural leaders to join the religious leaders and the government in the fight against the vice of sports betting in country among the youth.
 
"Sports betting is not a source of income. Nobody will ever become rich because of betting. I call upon the cultural leaders to tell their subjects to work. It is alarming that even in the remote rural areas, the youth are also engaging in betting," he said.

He noted that people in developed countries participate in betting as a form of leisure but not to earn a living from it.
