Muslims slaughter animals on Idd Adhuha worldwide to commemorate their belief in Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to fulfill his pledge that if God gave him a child he would sacrifice him.

The price of animals has been hiked as Muslims celebrates Idd Adhuha today.

At port bell and Kisenyi abattoir, goats and sheeps were priced between sh.150, 000- 600,000 while cows were valued from sh800, 000 to sh2m.d
Many Muslims were seen in the market buying goats, sheep in preparation for the sacrifice.

Slaughtering of the animals will end on Wednesday before sunset.

Aisha Najuko said the turn up of people was not so good and most them only consulted but did not buy.
