Rapper Navio brings Garden City down at Njogereza concert

Navio’s rare Luganda performance to revelers won’t easily be erased from their memories for years to come. The concert attracted thousands who filled the concert venue to the brim.

Uganda's hip-hop artist Daniel Kigozi a.k.a Navio on Friday had his long awaited Njogereza concert at Garden City roof top.

Dr. Maggie Kigozi (Navio's mother) also turned up to support his son. On the celebrity side, Leila Kayondo, Hellen Lukoma,Bebe Cool, Mun G, Maurice Kirya, Micheal Ross, Ziza Baffana among others turned up.

Although it was a rapper's show, he connected with revelers through traditional folk performance of many local songs.

 



Gates were open by 6:00pm yet by 8:00pm, the concert venue was filled up to capacity .The show started at 9:00pm, with electrifying performances from curtain raisers.

Wearing red snickers, black pants, black shirt and a black hooded jacket, Navio stepped onto the stage at 10:20pm with Nawulira song. He then took his fans through most of his songs without forgetting old ones like One and Only, Nfude Kigozi among others. He was later joined on stage by Maurice Kirya with whom they performed their collaboration song Revolution.

The backline was on and off, but the rapper kept the crowd busy. Navio later  joined rapper Gravity Omutujju and the two  thrilled the crowd with the Kata song.

 He then a took break. It's during this break that other artistes such as Mun G, Keko, and Bebe Cool entertained revelers.

After the break, Navio sung Mr. D,j a collaboration song with Weasel and Radio. The concert ended with Njogereza hit at 12:06am.
