UPDF Tomahawks are now slowly but surely settling in, in their first year in the National Basketball League, after claiming the scalp of another big fish-Our Saviour on Wednesday night.
Now, a play-off spot could be in sight for the NBL debutants if they maintain the kind of form they are surely enjoying.
Daniel Manojo, Ferdinand Odama and Stephen Wokorach finished in double figures with a combined 45 points as the Tomahawks registered their sixth win of the season; and are within reach of their targeted stay in the top flight this season.
Kelly Martin (10pts), David Opolot (11pts) and Moses Okwera (12pts) top scored for Our Saviour who are now 7-8 but must quickly fix the recent slump in form as the fight for play-off slots hots-up.
This was UPDF's second biggest victory of the season having beaten the Pemba Warriors 73-68 last week.
In the ladies game the JKL Lady Dolphins were also victors with Salma Akinyi, Jamila Nansikombi and Stella Oyella grabbing, 16, 12 and 10 points respectively, a win that took them to third place on the log.
Sylivia Nakazibwe's game high 17 points, Rhoda Nagitta and Ruth Atuhaire's 10 came short of guiding the Javon Ladies to victory and are now; 3-11.
