Mob lynches police officer over affair

Police in Bugiri is holding six people including an LC one chairman, in connection with the murder of a 34 year old police man.

The police man Corporal Isma Muyima attached to Muterere police post Muterere sub county, Muterere sub county, Bugiri district was lynched by an angry mob of  locals.

According to the LC 1 secretary for defense,Irimbi village,Juma Isabirye  the deceased who was deployed to guard the Irimbi stone quarry was attacked by the mob . He was accused of having an affair with a married woman belonging to a one Ausi Zalambi.

Some of the attackers fled from the Irimbi village ,after committing the offense and are  currently  on the run.

According to an eyewitness,Sande Lukungu said the attackers used big stones,and sticks to hit the deceased on the head and chest.

The deceased died instantly and his body was left lying along the road side with the AK 47 rifle strapped to  the chest.

The body of the deceased was by press time taken to the police mortuary in Mbale for a post mortem report.
