'Stop hiding disabled children in cages'

Mugwanga said that when a child with disability plays with a non disabled person they cannot pass the disability to the others.

Christine Mugwanya, Headmistress Entebbe Welfare community Primary School in Wakiso District has asked parents with Children who have all forms of impairment not to hide them in cages but take them to the school to mingle with others at school.

"Some people make cages for children with disability as if they are animals. Bring them to our school we can teach and help them, "Mugwanya said.

Mugwanga said that when a child with disability plays with a non disabled person they cannot pass the disability to the others. Let parents stop hiding those kids denying them an opportunity to interact with others at learning centers.

 

She was speaking during the handover of commodities worth Ush 1.6m to the school by Students who had completed a 10 week technology, leadership entrepreneurship

Entebbe Welfare Community School caters for education primarily for children with impairment but also those without.

The commodities included metallic windows and doors, sugar as well as cement.

Mugwanya asked for more help from well-wishers for the children at the school saying the children with disability need a lot.

"People of good will help us, these children are ours, and have mercy on us. We need much more help to complete the construction work around the school," Mugwanya said.
