Amuria leaders to fight against misuse of youth funds

Amuria district leadership has embarked on a move to fight misuse of the youth livelihood funds.

Stephen Ebaju Epenu the secretary education and health as well as the district councillor Obalanga explained that 20% of youth have diverted funds lent to them under the Youth Livelihood Program, which he says is discouraging leaders from lobbying for more support.

Ebaju suggested that constant monitoring of the youth and their selected projects will help to curb the vice.

He called on the youth to be responsible so as to fight the high rates of unemployment.
