I will be back - Stav Orland

Aug 24, 2016

Stav was Uganda's top rider in the 65cc class

After crashing and surrendering the FIM Africa Nations Motocross 65cc title to Hayden Tully of South Africa, Stav Orland has promised a big return in the next international event.

The 10-year-old rider told New Vision that failing to win the continental title which he was the favourite has just taught him to be cautious while on the track and be able to finish.

"I made mistakes, but I now I have to continue training and make sure I avoid mistakes next time and I will be back to win," Stav said.

Stav was Uganda's top rider in the 65cc class and his crash denied Uganda 20 points which would have been important in the quest for the Africa title won by Kenya.

His elder brother Aviv Orland won the 85cc class with an unbeaten record.

The next event is the FIM Central Africa Motocross Championship in Nairobi.
