FUFA licenses 14 teams for new league season

Clubs will be dropped if they do not meet the requirements

FUFA has issued 14 of the 16 Azam Uganda Premier League clubs full and provisional licenses to compete in the 2016/2017 season.

KCCA FC, BUL FC, Bright Stars, Vipers SC, SC Villa, Kirinya Jinja SS, Soana FC got full Uganda Premier League licenses while Jinja Municipal Council Hippos FC, Lweza FC, Onduparaka, Proline FC, Police FC, Sadolin Paints FC, URA FC got provisional licenses.

Express FC and The Saints FC have up to end of Friday to meet requirements or be dropped from the league because the clubs have not complied with mandatory demands for them to be licensed.

The chairman of the club licensing committee Bernard Ogwel and FUFA president Moses Magogo told the weekly press briefing on Wednesday that the two clubs would be dropped if they do not meet the requirements.
