Patidar got their title defence off to a winning note as the National T20 Cup bowled off Sunday with plenty of notable scoring feats. 

Patidar dispatched KC Budo by nine wickets at Entebbe in one of the three games without a half century. The reason was Ankit Patel (5/23) and Patidar bowled out Budo for 66 in 12.2 overs and practically cut out the chances of a high individual score. 

In all, there were six half centuries, with Zephania Arinaitwe's 93 (46) in Nile's seven-wicket win over the Avengers at Budo coming closest to the day's sole century. Next in the queue was Hamza Saleh's 84 (48) in KICC's 108-run win over JACC in Jinja. Then you had Rogers Olipa smash 81 (33) for the Strikers, as they condemned Nile to a four-wicket reverse at Budo. 

Fittingly, Roger Mukasa got in on the fun too, grabbing a game-best 71(48) as title-chasing Tornado Bee whipped the Pirates by 99 runs at Entebbe. The day's final two half centuries came from the Wanderers' Denis Musali and Challengers' Aneef Mohammed, both in winning affairs. 

Musali's 56(54) propelled the Wanderers to a seven-run victory over Premier while Mohammed's 54(33) led the Challengers to a 76-run win over SKLPS.
