South African Jaco van Heerden will referee the Elgon Cup return leg clash between Kenya and Uganda in Nairobi on Saturday.

The 33-year-old law graduate from the University of Pretoria is a member of the South African Referees Elite Panel and has previously officiated at the Currie Cup, Vodacom Cup and Super Rugby.

His assistants on the day will be Jerome Alabu from Botswana and Jacky Husselnmann from Namibia.

The game also doubles as the Rugby Africa tier 1A fixture and Uganda will be out to revenge a 48-10 home defeat at Legends Kampala rugby Club in the first leg of the Elgon cup last month.

The Uganda team is expected in Nairobi on Thursday and a win for Uganda will not only keep it in the Rugby Africa Tier 1A but improve its ranking in the Africa.

Meanwhile, Uganda will not take their U-19 team as earlier planned due to financial constraints.
