“The only category that is affected is the people who are not in the system."

Ngora district top leadership has reiterated the need for government to tackle issues of corruption.

This is if the common person is to attain equitable services, justice, as well as fair hearing in courts of law and police.

Bernard Eumu, the LC5 district chairperson for Ngora district, is particularly concerned that in most instances, some serious police or court cases involving the common man have not been followed genuinely to the end.

This he notes often affects the poor who have been denied access to justice whether in police or courts of law since they may not afford ‘kitu kidogo' (bribe) to argue their case.

"The people who have betrayed this country are the auditors in government, the prosecutors in courts, the shady people in Police. They don't feel the pinch," he says.

"The only category that is affected is the people who are not in the system. Those in the system enjoy it.  Actually they are the ones who benefit from it.

"All cases should have been handled up to their logical conclusion."
