Orlando Pirates to part with Cranes midfielder Mugerwa

Uganda Cranes midfielder Yasser Mugerwa has been released by South African giants Orlando Pirates.

Mugerwa's exit was confirmed by the club via its official website when he was named among the players who have been transfer listed.

"With the transfer window in full force, naturally so will be the speculations in the media about the coming ins and going outs of players.

However, before making such announcements, Orlando Pirates understands that as employers of these players, the Club has had to follow the proper procedures as listed under the Labour Relations Act" the statement read.

Mugerwa who joined the club last August was released with six other players. These included; Sifiso Myeni, Roger Majafa, Letsie Koapeng, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Felipe Ovono.

The former Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) player joined Pirates from URA FC for an undisclosed fee.
