Makerere University has released the first batch of private admissions, taking on 300 non-Ugandans from several countries across the world.
Sudan took the largest share of the admissions at 83, followed by Tanzania at 55, then Kenya (17). The rest of the slots were shared among Rwanda, Congo, Zambia, India, among others.
According to Charles Ssentongo, the deputy academic registrar in charge of admissions, the rest of undergraduate private sponsorship admissions will be released tomorrow.
