The battle for the summit in the Senior Pool League will be at stake this weekend as defending champions Skin Samona face off with Scrap Buyers on Saturday.

The winner in the day at Lumas Arena will secure the lead in the 16-team event.

The race for the top place on the table went square last weekend after lowly Indigo Pool Club defeated early pace setters Hot Pool 14-11 in their own backyard.

The shock result left Skin Samona, Scrap Buyers and Hot Pool level at 30 points from 13 matches with one match to the end of the first round next weekend.

In a bid to maintain contention, Skin Samona will have to depend on Nile Special Open champion Amos Ndyagumanawe, Fahad Ssewankambo, Uthman Bukenya and Dan Mubiru in the assault against the stubborn Kisenyi side.

This weekend action marks the tightest moment in the hotly contested event.

Centenary Bank sponsored Hot Pool who boast of seasoned players like Alfred Gumikiriza, Charles Segawa, Humphrey Nsubuga and Habib Sebuguzi will also be out for victory as they take on Icon in Nansana.

Pharmaceutical side CKI who are fourth-placed at 27 points who visit Red Shooters in Masindi stand to benefit if any of the top three goes down today.
