Four people from the same family have been confirmed dead in Bundibugyo district after mudslides covered a house in which they were sleeping on Sunday evening.
The mudslides followed a heavy down pour which lasted for about three hours. The incident took place in Kasanzi village in Ndugutu Sub County.

Godfrey Mucunguzi the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Bundibugyo advised the people living in high risk areas of Mt. Rwenzori to take refuge in the lower lands.
"Up hill is so risky because the mountain has developed cracks. There are fears of more landslides as the rains set in"he said.
