Amuria leaders raise security alert

The district leader has vowed that the district security operatives will not rest.

The presence of unknown people threatening security of the locals in Amuria community has raised alarm from the district LC5 chairperson.

This follows the kidnapping of one young boy identified as Alex Esaru on the late last month in Okudia parish, Akerieu village by a group of unidentified people whose motive is still unknown.

Robert Erisat Okitoi, the district leader of Amuria, has vowed that the district security operatives will not rest until such culprits are brought to book.

According to Erisat, the locals need to report similar incidents as such acts could likely be in connection with child traffickers or ritualists.

Parents are also being cautioned on the need to take security of their children as a priority while they go to school.
