JULY 11, 1996

Then-East African Wildlife Society, through its Uganda branch, appealed to the Uganda government to rescind the decision to allocate Namanve forest reserve for industrial purposes. Today, Namanve is a fully operational industrial park housing multitudes of factories and warehouses.
