SC Villa release seven players

Captain Jonathan Mugabi and Isaac Muleme are some of the seven players SC Villa has released ahead of the new season.

Others include;Misi Katende, goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato, Karim Ndugwa, Sulaiman Ochero and Fred Sebuliba.

When we contacted SC Villa president Ben Misagga, he informed us that the players were released on disciplinary grounds and others couldn't compete.

"Some of these players were released because they had discipline issues while others couldn't match the team's ambitions and targets,"Misagga stated.

He added that they expect to recruit not more than six players in the transfer window that opens this Friday.

Sebwato and Ndugwa joined the club early this year for the continental engagements but never lived up to expectations.
