The two-week competition culminated into 16 winners

Today, winners of the Father's Day writing competition were happy to receive their prize of DStv Explorer decoders.

The two-week competition culminated into 16 winners, whose stories featured in a special Father's Day on Sunday.

The 16 beat hundreds of writers in the competition because they described how much their fathers had gone beyond the traditional father's roles and built an emotional relationship with them.

Speaking at Vision Group's main office, DStv Marketing Manager Pheobe Nakabazzi said, "The Explora will be very good for children who are missing their programs because of reading. They will be able to record their programs because with Explora, you watch on your own terms."

Sunday Vision Contributing Editor Penlope Nankunda said the paper is about celebrating family and strives to bridge the gap in families by publishing family-centered stories.

Nankunda congratulated the winners and thanked them for sending e-mails, which attested to the fact that Sunday Vision makes a positive impact on the family.
